Q. Can I put any wallpaper stripping additives in my unit? A. Although some of these additives are designed for wallpaper strippers, they are not recommended for ours because they can damage the unit's internal components.
Q. How do I remove stubborn paper? A. Score the paper either with a knife or perforating tool (Porcupine PPF1) then use steamer as normal.
Q. How close can I get to light switches with the plate? A. Do not allow water or steam to enter light switches or power sources. Turn off the power at the main fuse box and then remove the face plate. This will allow you to remove any old paper that remains behind the socket/switch with a damp sponge. Replace face plate when finished.
Q. How about ceilings? A. Always wear appropriate personal protection equipment when using your wallpaper stripper. We recommend that you use eye and hand protection to avoid possible hot water discharge from condensing steam.
Hints & Tips
Never paper over old wallpaper.
For faster removal, move the steam plate slowly along the paper and follow with a scraper.
Always wear proper protective clothing when decorating.
Pre-score wallpaper/vinyl with a perforator tool to allow the steam to penetrate the paper.
